בשבוע שעבר יום שני ליל כ"א טבת פרשת שמות לפנות ערב נכנסו הנערים המתבגרים של מכינה לישיבה – כיתה ט' שע"י מוסדות 'שובו בנים נחמת ציון' אל הקודש פנימה לשיעור מיוחד ממורינו הרב אליעזר ברלנד שליט"א במעונו.
לפניכם תקציר מהשיעור שמסר מורינו הרב שליט"א לנערי החמד:
את השיעור החל מורינו הרב שליט"א בעניין פרשת ויחי ובעסק שמעון ולוי על הריגתם את אנשי שכם ובמחלוקת הרמב"ם והרמב"ן על הסיבה בה נתחייבו כל אנשי שכם מיתה. והביא בשם הליקוטי הרי"ם כי זוהי הייתה דרשת בר המצווה של הנערים. לאחר מכן עסק בעניין קבורתה של רחל אמנו וחיזק את הנסיעה לקבר רחל בכל יום ויום ואמר שע"י התפילה על קברה זוכים לראות את כל הישועות. ומעניין לעניין אמר שקראו לבנימין 'גנב בן גנבה' מכיון שרחל גנבה את התרפים, וכעת הוא גונב את הגביע. ואמר שבזכות זה שהאחים היכו אותו מכיון שחשבו שכעת יהיו עבדים לעולם, וקיבל בנימין את המכות בשמחה, זכה שבית המקדש היה בחלקו וזה "ובין כתפיו שכן" שבזכות שהיכוהו בכתפיו זכה להיות הכתפיים לבית המקדש. ואמר הרב שאם היה מקבל עוד מכה אחת בשמחה ובאהבה היה זוכה שכל בית המקדש היה בחלקו.
בהמשך השיעור עסק הרב באגדה המובאה בגמרא בקידושין על רב ביבי בר אביי שהכניע את הנחש בעל שבעת הראשים והאריך לדבר בעניין זה.
כמו כן בשיעור דיבר הרב שליט"א מפרשת שמות בעניין בתיה בת פרעה שהצילה את משה, ושכל נערותיה שניסו להניאה מלהצילו מתו. ואמר שהצדיק נקרא משה מכיון שהצדיק מוֹשֶׁה את כל אחד ואחד מהמים הזדוניים. את השיעור סיים הרב שליט"א בעניין החלפת הצלחות של בתואל ואליעזר ואמר שהנס האמיתי היה שאליעזר אכל את הצלחת עם הרעל ובתואל מת.
Last week, on Monday night, the high school boys from the 'Return, Sons of Comfort to Zion' institution, 9th grade, entered the holy study session by our esteemed teacher, Rabbi Eliezer Berland, may he live long, in his residence.
Here is a summary of the lesson that our teacher, Rabbi Berland, shared with the students:
The lesson began with the Rabbi addressing the portion of Vayechi and the incident involving Shimon and Levi killing the men of Shechem. He discussed the dispute between Maimonides (Rambam) and Nahmanides (Ramban) regarding the justification for the death penalty imposed on the men of Shechem. The Rabbi then quoted the Likutei HaRim, stating that this was the ethical demand of the young boys.
Afterward, he touched upon the burial of our mother Rachel and emphasized the importance of praying at her tomb daily, asserting that through prayer, one can witness all miracles. Interestingly, he mentioned that Benjamin was called 'thief, son of a thief' because Rachel stole the idols, and now Benjamin steals the goblet. He explained that the brothers beat him, thinking he would become a slave forever, but Benjamin joyfully accepted the beatings. As a result, he merited a portion in the Holy Temple, and it is said, "and between his shoulders he shall dwell," signifying that by carrying the burden, he earned a place in the Temple. The Rabbi added that if Benjamin had received another beating with joy and love, the entire Temple would have been in his portion.
Continuing, the Rabbi delved into an Aggadah from the Talmud in Kiddushin about Rabbi Yivvi bar Abaye, who subdued the seven-headed serpent, elaborating on this topic.
Moreover, he discussed the story of Batya, Pharaoh's daughter, saving Moses, noting that any of her maidservants who attempted to harm him would die. The Rabbi explained that Moses was called 'Mashah' because he drew (mashah) each person from sinful waters. He concluded the lesson by addressing the exchange of plates between Bithiah and Eleazar, stating that the true miracle was Eleazar eating the poisoned food, while Bithiah died.
